PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Scientific knowledge and clinical experience.

Born in Isparta in 1967, Prof. Dr. Mesut Gürdal graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. He completed his specialist training in urology at Ankara and Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospitals.

Throughout his career, he has worked at training and research hospitals and university hospitals, holding positions including clinic chief, department chair, chief physician, dean and vice rector.

His work focuses on functional urology, female urology, urinary incontinence in men and women, urethral stricture and robotic surgery. He has more than 100 scientific articles published nationally and internationally.

He was a founding member of the Continence Society in 2003 and served as its president in 2023–2024.
