Robotic Surgery

Robotic surgery is one approach used for suitable urologic operations. The system works under the control of the surgeon performing the operation.

When is it considered?

Suitability depends on the condition, the operation required, the individual’s overall health and the surgeon’s assessment. A robotic approach is not necessary for every patient or procedure.

Professional training and experience

Prof. Dr. Mesut Gürdal’s biography includes observational training in robotic surgery in Milan in 2009, da Vinci surgical system training in Strasbourg in 2012, and robotic surgery training at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital.

Making a decision

Alternative approaches, expected benefits, risks and follow-up should be discussed with your doctor when choosing a surgical approach.
